Recently the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality issued its final Section 401 Water Quality Certification that removing JC Boyle Dam on the Klamath River will comply with Oregon’s state water quality requirements. This was the latest significant step in the long effort to restore the Klamath River and its fisheries while providing greater water security and economic sustainability for the basin’s human communities.
